Space Rentals

Youth Art Exchange’s Studios at La Fénix and Kapuso are available to rent for events, exhibits, meetings, and more. Located in the Mission and Excelsior neighborhoods, these venues are steps from public transportation hubs and accessible for your event needs.

These spaces are active youth and community arts spaces and generally have artwork on the gallery walls from our programming. Your event rental will support our ability to provide free youth and community programming. Please fill out the below form.

Spaces at La Fénix (Mission)

Our Mission-based site offers vibrant spaces for events, meetings, and workshops, surrounded by active art studios and galleries. Features include:

  • Shared Outdoor Courtyard lined with murals

  • Outdoor Stage for performances and gatherings

  • Studio Spaces designed for classes, workshops, and creative events

    • Music studio & Darkroom Photography (we provide instructors)

Getting here: La Fénix is located on Mission Street between 15th & 16th. We’re less than a 1-minute walk from 16th Street BART and accessible by MUNI lines 14, 14R, 33, and 49.

Spaces at Kapuso (Excelsior)

Kapuso – 400 Geneva

A flexible open space perfect for meetings, community activities, exhibitions, and special events. This space features corner views of both BART and MUNI stations.

Getting here: Located at 400 Geneva Avenue in the Balboa Upper Yard. Just a 1-minute walk from Balboa Park BARTand accessible by MUNI lines 8, 8BX, 28R, 43, 54, 88, 91, 14, 14R, K, M, and J.

Kapuso – 2330 San Jose Ave

Home to our Fashion Studio and Screen Printing Studio, this site is ideal for workshops, classes, and creative events.

Getting here: Located at 2330 San Jose Avenue in the Balboa Upper Yard. Just a 1-minute walk from Balboa Park BART and accessible by the same MUNI lines listed above.

Please note, completion of this form does not guarantee you facility space and does not provide approval for your event to occur at YAX.  A staff person will be in touch upon receipt of the event request form.
