Art changes lives. Youth need art. We work with a faculty of artists to spark a shared creative practice between professional artists and public high school students, furthering youth as leaders, thinkers, and artists in San Francisco as they explore the arts and themselves.

Mapping Memory with Alyssa Aviles

Come on down to [x]space and join faculty printmaker Alyssa Aviles and YAX youth printmakers in an interactive project to create a map of San Francisco using block prints and you! Free artmaking for the whole family!

This City Life: Record Your Story at [x]space

Our Music Production faculty artist Alfie Macias is hosting a project called This City Life at [x]space. Alfie and youth music producers will record community members sharing their stories about living in San Francisco. Come with friends and family during to have your story recorded! This project is supported by California Arts Council's Artists in Communities program. If you are interested in setting up an appointment to have your story recorded, email with the subject line “This City Life.”

YDM: Youth Digital Music Festival is a San Francisco youth musician showcase, featuring live performances, DJ sets, and original music.
