Youth Art Exchange offers programming for all ages through art classes and more. From workshops to corporate team building to ready made all inclusive craft kits, learn more below. All classes and programs are taught by experienced, qualified practicing artists. Learn visual and performing arts disciplines like block printing, music production, painting, drawing & illustration, sewing & pattern making, screen printing, and more.

One-Day Workshops

Dive deep into an art discipline in a 4-hour workshop that combines group instruction and studio time with individualized instructor guidance and support.

Typical workshop offerings include: textile earring making, piñata making, paper making, natural dyeing, embroidery, photography, animation, holiday crafts, and more.

Workshop Cost: $150 + $25 Materials Fee*
*Additional fee if you would like to purchase your own MIDI tech controller for Music Production.

Four-Week Intensives

Spend time learning the foundations of an art form and/or hone your skills in something you’ve tried before. These 4-week classes combine group instruction and studio time with individualized instructor guidance and support as you acquire and test new skills.

Typical class offerings include: block printing, music production, painting, drawing & illustration, sewing & pattern making, screen printing, and more.

Workshop Cost: $390 (Includes Materials)*
*Additional fee if you would like to purchase your own MIDI tech controller for Music Production.

Open Studio Memberships

Want to spend more time in the studio? Join our Open Studio Membership program to have access to equipment and studio space as you learn through self-guided experimentation and practice. Studio times may vary by session, but are generally Tuesday and Wednesdays 6-9pm and Saturdays. Members receive 15% off of all classes and workshops.

Membership Cost: $150/year (Materials are not included, but may be purchased through YAX. Materials purchased through other vendors may require verification and approval.)

Corporate Team Building

Strengthen your team and bond while having a fun, hands-on experience in the arts. All experiences are taught by experienced, qualified practicing artists with a background in group facilitation and instruction. Use [x]space or we can come to your location. Virtual Classes

We offer many virtual classes options. We can ship materials anywhere in the US or arrange for local pick up in San Francisco. Instruction is via Zoom or a live web cast.

Typical class offerings include: painting, drawing & illustration, block printing, and more.

Virtual Class Cost: $50 + $25 Materials Fee (additional shipping charges may apply)

[x] Kits

[x] Kits are art kits for the aspiring or expert artist at home. Each [x] Kit has all you need for a project from start to finish with materials, tools, instructional videos, and creative inspiration.

What does the [x] mean? [x] represents a changing variable. On a quarterly basis, each [x] Kit will explore a different art form that mirrors the multidisciplinary free arts programming that Youth Art Exchange offers: printmaking, music production, fashion design, architecture, photography and industrial design.
